Our office administers federal, state and county elections for all jurisdictions in the county and offers assistance and support for cities, townships and school districts in conducting elections.

Register to Vote-Minnesota Secretary of State

To register online you will need to have an email address and a Minnesota-issued driver's license, Minnesota ID card or the last 4 digits of your social security number. 
In-Person Registration
If you reside in Red Lake County and would like to register to vote, download and complete the Voter Registration Form and mail it back to:

Mail Ballot Precincts
Mail balloting is authorized by resolution of the governing body and remains in effect for subsequent state and county elections until it is revoked. Sixteen precincts in Red Lake County vote by mail ballots for all State Primary and General Elections (mail balloting does not apply to stand-alone school district elections):

  • Lake Pleasant Township
  • Lambert Township
  • Lousiville Township
  • City of Oklee
  • City of Plummer
  • Red Lake Falls Township-North
  • Red Lake Falls Township-Southeast
  • Red Lake Falls Township-Southwest
  • River Township
  • Terrebonne Township
  • Wylie Township
If you live in one of those mail ballot precincts, your traditional polling place will not be open on Election Day. Instead, if you are registered to vote at your current address, you will receive your ballot in the mail approximately one month prior to each state election.
