Red Lake County Social Services Center Accounting/Collections Services develops and maintains the accounting and budgetary system for Human Services.

Services Provided

  • Budgeting and Fiscal Reporting
  • Processing payment of Agency expenses - Most bills are paid once a month and must be received by the 10th of the month to be included in payments issued the Friday after our Board meeting (the 3rd Wednesday of the month).
  • Claims Collections for overpayments to recipients
  • Estate Collections

      Red Lake County performs Medical Assistance estate collections pursuant to Minnesota Statute 256B.15. Red Lake County does not assist in estate planning. For more information, please visit the Minnesota Department of Human Services Medical Assistance Estate Recovery page.
    • Obtaining a Medical Assistance Certificate of Clearance
      A Medical Assistance Certificate of Clearance can be obtained by completing an Application for Certificate of Clearance for Medical Assistance Claims and submitting it to the Accounting/Collections Unit. Forms for both Transfer on Death Deed and Decree of Descent are available here:

      Completed Certificates can be faxed, emailed, mailed to or dropped off in person to:
